The reform package announced by PM Abadi which aims at eradicating administrative & financial corruption,was accepted quickly by the cabinet & parliament without discussion. It came as the clerics & other late demonstrations asked for. By taking this step the PM did put himself under a difficult test, as he has to implement it in a situation which lacks security, stability, reconciliation & general amnesty. A lot depends on how it's put into practice, this should be through neutral bodies away from sectarian or political motives or marginalisation.
The final judgement of this extraordinary step will come after seeing the results hopefully positive.
